The REG216 device consists of two main components that are physically separated from each other and connected by standard prefabricated shielded cables:
Main system interfaces (CT, PT, and auxiliary relays): provide DC isolation and electromagnetic interference barriers.
Parallel bus and related electronic units: such as analog inputs and data processors/used for signal conditioning and processing.
A complete protection scheme consists of relatively few hardware modules, allowing for subsequent expansion of electronic units and interfaces. Each device framework can provide 21 rack spaces, and all hardware can be installed in one compartment to further shield against inductive interference and provide physical protection such as dust prevention.
4、 Main functional components
216GW62 component: used to adjust signal levels and isolate the CT and PT circuits of the primary system from the electronic circuits of the protection device. There is one PT and two CT options available to meet different precision and dynamic performance requirements.
Trip auxiliary relay component: equipped with powerful potential free trip contacts (with surge circuit), 16 auxiliary relays, and 16 optocouplers.
