The hydraulic actuator of the servo hydraulic system moves quickly and changes direction quickly. When in use, it is basically an oscillation link with a high natural frequency. However, with the increase of its flow rate and parameter matching, the natural frequency can be increased to be compared with the natural frequency of the electro-hydraulic servo valve.
The volume and weight of hydraulic actuators in servo hydraulic systems are much smaller than those of electromechanical actuators of the same power when in use. This is mainly because as their power increases, the volume and weight of hydraulic actuators (such as valves, hydraulic cylinders, or motors) increase much slower than that of electromechanical actuators. This is because the former mainly relies on increasing liquid flow and pressure to increase power. Although the volume and weight of the power mechanism may also increase, strength and lightweight metal materials can be used to reduce volume and weight.
