It is a complete 8-channel digital input module front-end reference design suitable for programmable logic controllers (PLCs). This design has undergone comprehensive testing and meets the IEC61000-4 EMC and surge requirements for industrial automation systems, thus accelerating the customer’s product launch time. This design serializes 8 digital inputs, each with a maximum voltage of 34 volts, reducing the number of isolation channels and GPIO pins required for the host interface. The serialized data and control signals are electrically isolated from the PLC using TI’s high-speed 42424V peak voltage digital isolator technology. This design also includes an isolated power supply for overcurrent protection, providing all necessary module voltages. This design also provides complete documentation, test results, design files, and necessary firmware.
