What is a servo motor?
A servo system is a small device whose output shaft is positioned on the encoded signal. It is a rotary or linear actuator that can precisely control angle or linear position, velocity, and acceleration.

A servo motor that responds suddenly to signals and accelerates quickly to loads is called a servo motor.

What is servo?
The servo motor consists of a basic DC motor, with the addition of:

Some gear reducers
A position sensor for motor shaft
Electronic circuit that controls the operation of the motor
A variable resistance potentiometer that can measure the output shaft at any time so that the controller can be accurately placed.
Architecture:

Servo motors have the same structure as DC motors, including stator, rotor, and control components. It has feedback for controlling speed and torque. It has two ports, one for DC power supply and the other for controlled DC power supply.

They provide separate DC sources for the magnetic field winding and armature winding. This control can be achieved by controlling the excitation current or armature current. The type of control is defined as the type of application.
